So what is bitcoin?  Bitcoin is one of many cryptocurrencies.  Although there are many cryptocurrencies they aren’t all created equally.  Some crypto can only be used on specific platforms.  Theses can be compared to arcade tokens.  The tokens can only be used in the arcade that you bought them from.  Bitcoin however is a digital currency.  It can be used globally to buy and sell goods digitally.  Many consider the downward trend in the value of the US dollar as a sign to place there funds elsewhere.  We know society is going digital, and many people have many great money with bitcoin.  If you haven’t already, it may be time to consider your digital portfolio.

Be yourself and your audience will come.  Whether you are delivering a product or a service it is important to give your authentic self.  No need to try to fake it or fit in with others who offer similar services.  You are different from anyone else on the planet.  Use that to your advantage in your industry.  Believe it or not, there are people who want to see the real you.  Being yourself gives you the consistency that your audience needs to believe in your brand.  Stick to it and your audience will find you.

Test Drive Your Ideas First
You have ideas, but maybe you don’t know where to start.  A major key that BDaht pointed out was how he tests his ideas.  Its simple, just do it and take note of the feedback that your audience gives you.  Keep a journal or take notes of the ideas that you have so you don’t forget them.  Don’t let those great ideas fall into the cracks of your mind.  Get them on paper, and plan to execute them.  Take the feedback you receive seriously.  The feedback will let you know what to do next.

Enjoy The Ride
BDaht gave a great example of a failure that he faced early on in his career.  We all know that everyday isn’t going to go our way, or is it?  It the lessons learned from our failures that actually propel us towards success.  Whether things appear to be going your way or not, trust the process.  Trust that everything is working out.  Enjoy the ride.  There will be ups, and downs, but if you stay on you will reach your destination.  You are on your way, so enjoy it!

Discipline over Motivation

We all love Motivation.  Motivation is amazing and can give us the spark that we need to begin a new task or put in some extra work.  However, when that spark dies so does your effort.  This is where discipline comes into play.  Discipline will give you the strength to persist through difficult moments where you may not be so motivated.  If you want constant effort work in your favor, you will need to practice building your discipline.  It will help to sustain your effort through difficult moments.  Discipline itself is another key to success, it is the factor which allows us to proceed with constant effort.

Remember Your Purpose
Your purpose must be magnetic.  A strong purpose can provide us with internal motivation.  Remember why you started the journey.  Use your purpose to help you stay on track with your efforts.  If you are completing tasks that do not align with your goal, then do not proceed.  Your purpose can serve as a compass for you.  Use it to help determine if your efforts are working in your favor.  Constant effort is a major key to success, but we must make sure those efforts are properly aligned.

Nature’s Proof

When we examine nature for keys to success we see a variety of examples where this principle is applied.  A seedling placed in fertile soil begins to grow and will continuously apply its efforts to fulfill its purpose to become the best version of itself.  We have to apply this principle the same way.  Work to achieve your purpose with continuous effort.

Some opportunities are dated.  Imaging trying to sell a suit of armor in today’s world.  Sure you would make sales, but the widespread adoption may not occur because the opportunity is dated.  Not many people actually desire a suit of armor.  We want to continuously set goals that are attainable.  A major key to doing this is understanding the time.  If you understand the time well enough, you may even have the foresight to see what is coming next.

Abundance of Supply
There are times when it seems as if there is not enough room for you or your business in an industry.  This chapter of the book informs us that this is simply not true.  There is always enough of everything for everyone.  This perspective is mostly a matter of positioning.  It is not enough to set a goal.  You must either be in a favorable position, or have a plan to get in position.  If you are pursuing an industry that already has giants holding the lion share of resources or customers, then you may need to position yourself in a way that makes you attractive and different from the competition.  A good example of this is the car company Tesla.  Tesla entered the automotive industry with a new and unique value proposition that gives them relevance in a competitive market.  There is room for you and your goals.  Position yourself for success.

The Urge to Achieve

It’s natural to desire more life.  It is the nature of life to grow and multiply.  The same is the case for us.  Follow your desire to grow.  Create goals and begin moving in the direction of completion.  If you have the desire, then the opportunity is available to you to fulfill those desires. Position yourself accordingly and go achieve.

The road to success on your entrepreneurial journey may be a long and tedious ride.  Commit to it.  No one wants to be the person that continuously bounces from job to job, business to business or relationship to relationship.  Make a commitment to pursue your vision.  This will require some courage on our part.  We will have to do and try new things, but make the commitment to do whatever it takes.  Take action and see your vision through from start to finish.

Persist beyond all obstacles
On your way to the top, you are going to encounter plenty of obstacles.  You will get tired of doing the work.  Unexpected challenges will pop up.  You may even fall down along the way.  This is where it pays to have the heart of a champion.  Everyone can do well when things are easy, and things are going well.  The key is to persist beyond the obstacles.  Your commitment to success has to be so strong that you are relentless in this area.  You will get up each and every time that you fall along the way.  You will persist, you will succeed. 

Conquer the competition

When we say conquer the competition; we’re talking about your work, and yourself.  As entrepreneurs of course we face competition in our industry, but in most cases entrepreneurs simply need to win the battle against their work, and against themselves.  We have to win these battles first before we can begin to compete against anyone else.  Constantly work on elevating your mind, and your work ethic.  Build your discipline.  Train for success like your training for a championship fight.

There is a Science

A major reveal in this chapter is that there is a science behind becoming rich.  Wattles explains that getting rich is as certain as a mathematical formula or a proven scientific experiment.  You must simply follow the formula, and you are sure to meet your success.  The amazing thing about math is that the formulas apply to everyone.  They are fixed laws.  The laws simply need to be followed.  This assures us that any an everyone can become rich.  

Anyone Can Get Rich
It does not matter where you come from, what your current situation is, or your religion.  Literally anyone can get rich.  The author points out that you can find examples of 2 people who come from similar backgrounds, and only one of them gets rich while the other ends up in poverty.  Also in reverse you can find people of poor origins who end up rich, while plenty of people who start off with success handed to them end up poor.  This gives us certainty that anyone can become rich.  It is not a matter of origin, employment, or any of the common denominators that we all share.  So what is it?

The Certain Way

So what is the certain way?  Certain from one perspective means particular.  This would mean that there are particular steps to  or ingredients to include in your formula for success.  Certain can also mean assured.  Execute your plan for success with certainty, knowing that you will reap the rewards from your hard work.  Both of these are valid points that the author later on discusses in the book.  You must believe in yourself and your plan enough to be certain of the desired outcome.

In today’s economy we have a variety of choices. There isn’t just a single grocery store in your area, and with the internet people aren’t limited to shopping only in their area. They can make purchases across the country and have items shipped to their home. As a business it is the most competitive time as well as the most opportune time. In the crowded market you have to have ways for your customers to find you. Digital Marketing allows us to leverage the internet to reach our potential customers. In most cases you are your best customer! Your best customers are likely to like some of the things that you like. They are likely to hang out in the places that you like, and they are likely to prefer the same social platforms as you. If your customers aren’t finding you then go out and find them!

Be Social on Social

In the realm of digital marketing it isn’t enough to just have social media accounts, and just make posts. You actually need to engage with your audience. The way people network with each other is totally different now. Meeting people at actual events is great, but how often are you actually attending events? Social media gives us the chance to meet and share with someone new each day. Actually be social with people on social media. Work on commenting, liking, and sharing. Build relationships with other users who are active in this space. They will appreciate your engagement, and help share your message as well.

Don’t Compete, Compliment

This was a major gem right here.  Digital marketing, social media, and online businesses are all very competitive.  Its easy to get caught in the competitive space or feel like you have to try to be better than the next business or person.  Don’t waste your time in the energy draining area.  Simply look for ways to better yourself.  While you are working on yourself, look for other people or businesses in a complimentary industry.  Focus on collaborating with businesses that may have an overlap in target audience.  Use your energy to build and compliment versus competing.

This challenge was handcrafted by Rick himself.  One major key that Rick dropped in the episode was to learn to compliment others not compete with others.  Go out and find 5 people or businesses that compliment what you do.  Reach out and build a bridge.  Ask how you can help them grow their situation.  Work together and find ways to help each other grow.  One example of this was if you are a fitness guru, then pair up with someone in the nutrition or supplement industry.  Find ways to help others grow.  Inside of this method you will find yourself growing as well!
